PROPOSAL AT HOME. (Received 12.30 p.m). LOXDOX, December 20. The "Daily Mail's" political eorresponI dent states that a Cabinet committee I examining equal franchise rights, is considering a proposal for giving votes to men and women at the age of 25 years. (Sydney "Sun.") Under The Representation of the People Act, 1918/ male electors in Britain must be of full age (21 years) and have resided or occupied business pre- | mises of an annual value of not less I than £10 in the same parliamentary I district for six months previous to the I election. A woman voter must be 30 ; years of age and entitled to be registered as a local Government elector under an occupation or marriage clause.
