MYSTERY SOLVED.
FOUND DROWNED. MISSING YOUKjG WOMAN. (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, December 20. The mysterious disappearance on December 13 of Una Crowe (20), daughter of the late Sir Eyre Crowe, has been solved by the finding of the body drowned at Sitanage. Identification was by the clothingtabs, and evidently death had taken place some days ago. There were no signs of violence on the body, which was seen in the moonlight floating towards the shore. Una Crowe disappeared mysteriously at the same time as Mrs. Christie, the novelist. Her home was at Chelsea, and no trace could at first be found of her : whereabouts. The late Sir Eyre Crowe was a distinguished official of the Foreign Office. He was First Assistant Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, and for some years Permanent Under-Sec-I retary. He passed all his life in the I service of the Foreign Office at Home land abroad.
