METHODIST ORPHANAGE.
VARIOUS DONATIONS RECEIVED. RECENT GIFT OF PROPERTY. A bequest of property, which, wher sold, is expected to realise £2500, hai been made to the Methodist Children': Home and Orphanage under the will o the late Mrs. N. J. Serre, for many yean a resident of Newmarket, and ai adherent of the Newmarket Methodis Church. "It is an indication of the goodwil that is shown towards the orphanage am I am very grateful," said the secretary of the orphanage (Rev. S. Griffith) ii referring to the bequest this morning He mentioned that during the past yea the institution had received a number o valuable gifts. They included a beques of £ MOO from the late Mr. AY. Winstone also property to form the nucleus of ai endowment fund, £500 from the estat of the late Mr. W. Kirby (of Welling ton). £100 from the estate of the late Mi J. Whitford (of Mangere) and a residu valued at £250. £100 from the estate o the late Mrs. Ann King (of Pukekohe) and similar amounts from the estates o the late Mrs. A. T. Anderson (Kings land), and the late J. H. Townson* (Tauranga).
