A SIRANGE CASE.

An unusual .case was heard by Mr. Justice Stringex in the Supreme Court this morning when Mary Hunia (Mr. Butler) appeared for sentence on a charge of 'bigamy at Rawene. His Honor stated that the matter had come under the notice of the police after a number of years, but there could be no discrimination in an offence of this kind. The woman had been married when ehe was 14 or 15 years of age to a Maori yonth of 19. She was married a second time in 1915, and in 11 years had had nine children. "She is. discharged," said his Honor; "let her go .back to her children."
