PRISONERS FOR SENTENCE.
TWO REMAXDS GRANTED
Remands were granted in two cases brought before Mr. Justice Stringer in the Supreme Court this morning for sentence.
Pearl May Biehler, who had pleaded guilty to a charge of false pretences at Te Awamutu, was reported to be too ill to appear.
Mr. Paterson, for the Crown, asked that owing to the circumstances of the accused's illness that the remand be a fairly long one.
His Honor remanded the accused for one month.
Arthur Tilley, who had pleaded guilty to a charge of breaking and entering at Auckland had nothing to say.
His Honor, in reply to Mr. Paterson, who asked for a remand, said there was not enough evidence before him, and remanded the accused until July 7.
