The autumn meeting of the Auckland Racing dub was concluded yesterday at Elleralie in fine weather with the exception of a slight shower which came on towards the end of the programme. There was a good attendance and the racing was interesting throughout, some good finishes resulting. A Promising Sort. Wenday was the only scratching for the Kelson Handicap, for which Eh Timi wa3 the public fancy, being entrusted with only a few more pounds than Aurumavis, while Anklet and White Fang carried most of the others. When they went up the hill for the last time the order was King Abbey, Peter Amans, Explorer, Mahgoloire, Kawini, Pittswurth, Sansa-

lino, Peter Maxwell and Tuki. King Abbey led down the hill, but Kawini and Mahgoloire soon headed him and in a good finish, Mahgoloire got the decision by half a length. Explorer was several lengths away third, with Peter Amans, Pdttswortli, King Abbey and Peter Maxwell next.

Income Beats Rapine. All paraded for the Autumn Handicap and Rapine, which made his first appearance at the meeting, was first choice, having over 1500 more tickets invested on him than Income, while Town Bank and Princess Ronnie wera next fancied. Income was the first to show out from Ruapapa and Phoenix Park, but the last named had run to the front as they raced along the straight, being attended by Transformer, Income, Rapine, Princess Ronnie, Ruapapa, Desert Glow, Passionate and Spoony. Phoenix Park was still in charge along the back from Ruapapa, Transformer, Income, Town Bank, Passionate, Princess Ronnie, Lord Star, Rapine, Barometer, Desert Glow and Pioyal Present, Phoenix Park was attended by Transformer, Income, Ruapapa, Lord Star, Spoony, Town Bank, Prince-ss Ronnie and Rapine as they crossed the top. Mimetic, Nippy, Holymond and Oreum failed to parade for the Great Northern St. Leger, leaving half a dozen to contest the stake. Star Stranger was backed as unbeatable, being entrusted with over two thousand pounds more than Mask, while Danae did not carry half the amount invested on the favourite. Danae was the first to show out from Loraint, but as they ran past the stands Lomint and Catcall were together, followed by Queen Arch, Danae, Mask and Star Stranger. The order was the same along the baqk, and crossing the top Lomint was attended by Catcall, Queen Arch, Danae, Mask and Star Stranger.
