WRESTLING.
MEESKE AND ANDERSON. Billy Meeske. Australian light-heavy champion athlete, has been matched with Era. Anderson, of Palmerston Xorth, the Caledonian champion wrestler. The two will meet on Monday week at the Town Hall, under the auspices of the Xew Zealand Wrestling Association. This match is of special intere;?t, as Anderson only consented to wrestle Meeske provided it was a double-headed match, and the association, after consulting Meeske. signed the men up to meet in Cumberland and catch-aa-catch-can styles. This favours Anderson, as he has been the champion Cumberland wrestler of Manawatu for many years, although only twenty-four years of age. He will also have the advantage in weight, as» he is nearly a stone heavier than Meeske Arrangements will be made for Meeske to train at the Fire Brigade gymnasium at 3 p.m. each day next week. Anderson will arrive in Auckland before next 'week-end and will finish off his work-out at the Police Barracks.
