ICHRISTCHURCH WOOL SALE.

BEST OF THE SERIES. THE KANGE OF rRICES. (By Telegraph.—Press AKsnciatiou.) CHRISTCHUKCH, Thursday. Prices at the fourth wool sale of the season showed a considerable improvement. Tlio market was buoyant and compel ition animated, making the sale the best of the series. Om of 14.451 bales only 228 were passed. Of this number 129 bales were in the last catalogue, mostly Merino. Merino prices increased by lid to 'ill on February rates, (.'orricdales improved Ll to Ud, erossbreds were up Id lo Ud and "super-lmlfbreds sold up to Id better. In other grades lialfbreds increased slightly more and coarse lialfbreds improved a fraction. A more marked advance took place in three-quart-erbrecl, which was Id better than iv February.
