HARBOUR FATALITY FEARED. <
Grave fears are entertained for thd safety of Mr. Michael Middleton, an cm* ployee of the Auckland Hainour Board ( vbo went fishing from .1 dinghy in the harbour .yesterday morning, and has not sine - , been beard of. 1
Xr. Middleton took the din»siy auoist nine o'clock, and rowed out to fish. An hour and a-half later, the empty dinghy was discovered under the stern of tliq coal hulk Gladbrook. The oars were in the rowlocks, and a fishing line was hanging over the side. A watch and chain and a bosuns whistle belonging to Mr. Middlcton were afterwards found in the shed, whence the oars and row« locks had been taken.
Mr, Middleton, who was a single man about fifty years of age, was formerly! bosun on the cable steamer Iris. He lia'j 110 relatives in Auckland.
