CONFERENCE NEXT WEEK. ONLY ONE SCHOOL IN NORTH. A combination between the Auckland and Victoria University Colleges in the establishment of one agricultural school in the North Island was the decision of a special meeting of the Auckland University College Council. The resolution was: "That the interests of agricultural education in the Auckland province and in New Zealand generally will be best promo-ted by means of a combination between the Auckland and Victoria Colleges in the establishment of one agricultural college in the North Island."'" , Further reolutions were: "That, with this object- in view, a conference should be lipid in Wellington by representatives from each college council as early as posslrle. to consider a scheme for co-opera-tion in the establishment and control of such agricultural college: that the president and Professors Segar and Worley be appointed to represent this council at such conference and report to the council at another special meeting." The Hon. George Fowlds (chairman of the Auckland University College Council) will leave for Wellington on Monday evening to met Victoria College representatives in conference on Tuesday morning. Mc will be met in Wellington 'by Professors Segar, Worley and Riddet. A full discussion on the question will then take place.
