The Boxing Board of Control has deprived Roland Todd of the middleweight title owing to his failure to defend it for nearly three years.—"Sun." TENNIS AT CANNES. INTERNATIONAL FINALS. LONDON, January 18. In the international lawn tennis finals at Cannes, Cochet defeated 31ayes, 3—6, 6—3 6—3, 3—6, 6—4; and Mdlle. Lenglen and Mrs. Scatterthwaite defeated Mrs. Coleman and Miss Perchell, 6 —l, 6—l.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.) GOLF IN THE UNITED STATES. NEW YORK, January 18. The first prize of £300 in the Texas open golf championship was won by Macdonald Smith (America), with a card of 288. R. A. Cruickshank (England) missed a 10in putt at the last hole, scoring 289.
