NEWMARKET IMPROVEMENTS.
LOAN POLL FOR £12,000.
A poll of ratepayers of Newmarket Borough upon the question of raising a loan of £12,000 for street improvement works is being held to-day, and will close at 7 p.m. The polling places are the Municipal Hall, Broadway, and Calder's Garage, Park Road. The allocation of the money is as follows:—£37ss for approaches to the proposed railway overhead bridge in Victoria Crescent, including fillings, retaining walls, fencing, drainage, and alterations to buildings; i-880 for concreting part of the approaches, to the bridge, and the forming °£ footpaths; £1795 for relaying wate?
