SOLDIER KILLS PRIEST.

BAYONETED ON STREET. POST-WAR BITTERNESS. A MOTHER'S SUICIDE. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 11.30 a.m.) ROME, October 14. Father Paul Geny, a distinguished professor of philosophy, was killed with a bayonet by a soldier while he was walking in the street. The soldier admitted he had no grudge against Father Geny, but was bitter towards all priests because one wrongly told his mother her son was killed in the war, whereupon she committed suicide.—(A. and N.Z.
