BELLICOSE ABDUL. • LONDON, September 30. , Discussing the Mosul frontier dispute, I the Secretary of State for the Dominions (Mr. L. C. *M. S. Amery) said: "I do j not believe that Turkey intends to make 1 war if she is dissatisfied with the decisions of the League of Nations. Tn any case. Britain will never abandon her treaty rights owing to a threat of war." Britain was not adopting a bellicose policy. If the more pacific party to every . treaty were forced to abrogate rights i because of a threat of war it would be the t worse possible blow at peace. The only interest Britain had in the discovery of oil was the consequent pros- ' perity of Traq. The royalties would bp equally shared between the British. ; American. French, and Dutch.— ("Sun."' 1
