QUEENSLAND STRIKE.
NOT OVER YET, POINTS OF DISAGREEMENT. (Received 12 noon.) BRISBANE, September 3. Official messages received here state that 55 per cent of the Townsville railwaymen voted against the Government's terms of settlement. Another ballot will be taken to-day, when it is expected the decision will be reversed. At Rockhampton the terms were rejected on the ground that they did not include the clerical workers' demands.
A mass meeting at jfackay decided to remain on strike until all the demands were granted.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
