WOODLANDS SWAMP AREAS.

Thp followinf: motion was carried by the woodland Drainage Hoard yesterday : ''That the honnl place on record appreciation of the comprehensive practical report on the Woodlands swamp area as prepared by Government officers, and considers thin, in view of the importance of this report and of the recommendations made a conference or drainapre boards and other interested bodies should be held, and the Government urged to immediately set up a Koyal Commission to go fully into tin- matter and surest some comprehensive scheme to deal with the whole area : that the financial aspect is of prime importance taxed to full capacity: Hint we are prepared to work with other board* in the area, and with the Swamp Dovnlnpmont IfßjEne to the ends set out- that we srxoncl,. represent to the Government thn
