PACIFIC COAST TO HAWAII.

A SQUADRON'S FLIGHT.

WASHINGTON, August 10. The United States Navy Department announces that the naval aeroplane flight from the Pacific coast to Hawaii will start on August 28. — (A. and N.Z.) The machines will hop off from San Francisco or <3an Diego, Captain S. Moses (Chief of the Navy Aircraft Squadron) in command. The battleship Arizona, the aircraft carrier Langley, and the aircraft tender Aroostook will be at a dietance of 600 miles from each other on the route, and six destroyers will take up positions at 200-mile intervals. Mine sweepers will patrol the whole distance. The whole undertaking is scientific, find intended to gather weather observations.
