ANOTHER USE FOR RAILWAYS. (By Telegraph.— Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Friday. Mr. F. J. Rolleston (Timaru) to-day intimated his intention to ask the Minister of Railways whether the Government will, in order to facilitate trade and assist both town and country residents, institute a cash on delivery system on the New Zealand railways? Under this system he said goods may be forwarded by raii and their price collected from the purchaser on the goods being delivered to him by the railways, the money so collected heing subsequently paid over by the railway authorities to the sender. It is understood that the system has been introduced on the railways in some of the Australian States and other countries, and has been found to be a great convenience.
