(To the Editor.) Sir, —I must say I sympathise with poor, unfortunate "Territorial," who is forced to have hie legs cramped by puttees, say, a couple of hours per week. Poor fellow, I can imagine how his legs must swell. What I fail to understand is how the soldiers stood it all for four years in France. No doubt the far from artistic cut of the "slacks" ia the cause of sore muscles.—l am, etc., FOUR YEARS IN "SLACKS."
