QUESTION OF CONVICTION. IS BLACKMAIL ESSENTLAL? (By Telegraph. —Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The Appeal Court heard argumeni ■to-day in the King v. Blazina case stated bj' Sir. Justice Herdman, whereir a woman named Blazina -was charged with writing anonymous threatening letters to one Nitz. I At the trial, accused's counsel contended there was no proof that accused I intended to extort something. I Counsel for the Crown, on appeal, contended it was immaterial whether accused's act resulted in gain, and that i the act was definable as mischief. Decision was reserved.
