A MURDEROUS ASSAULT.

ARREST OF A SUSPECT. LONDON, March 3. Albert George Rodwell, aged 35, an insiirnnee agent, was remanded at the .Guildhall to-day on a charge ofwoundt ing and robbing Mr. Ekisler, the Armenian business man who was found on Friday afternoon seriously injured in his office in Great Winchester Street, London.

The police stated that when he was apprehended Rodwell said: "Is it about the Ekisler affair? I have just read about it. He is a friend of mine." Later, when he was charged, Rodwell said: "It is utterly absurd. I spent the whole of Friday at Eastcote." It was mentioned in court that Mr. Ekisler is still in a critical condition, but that he had slightly improved ana has a chance of recovery.— (Reuter.)
