AIDING THE DOMINIONS.

BRITISH FARMERS' PROTEST. GIFT OF £1,000,009. LONDON, December 28. At a meeting of farmers at Worcester, a farmer asked Sir W. P. Rylands, president of the Farmers' Union, whether the proposed grant of £1,000,000 to the Dominions for improved marketing would not be harmful to British argiculture. Sir W. P. Rylands replied that it would be. monstrously unfair if the State, being unwilling to help British farmers, was going to help people overseas to beat down British prices. Tt would be the union's duty to see that British agriculture did not suffer under the scheme.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
