CHILDREN AND COMPETITIONS.
EDUCATION BOARD OBJECTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The Wellington Education Board today resolved: "That, with regard to competitions held during the term holidays, the Board is strongly of opinion that the entry of very young children, say up to ten years at least, into public competitions should be discouraged. Apart from other Teasons, thia method of spending holidays appears to defeat their main purpose of rest and refreshment."
