ANGLICAN AFFAIRS.
STANLEY BAY A PARISH. At yesterday's session of the Diocesan Synod, the Parish Statute Amendment Bill, for the alteration of Holy Trinity, Devonport, and ' the creation of a new parish at Stanley Bay, was read a third time and passed. The following were elected to the standing committee:—Clergy: Archdeacon H. A. Hawkins, Canons Percival James, F. Young, and M. Mason, and the Revs. C. H. Grant Cowen, P. S. Smallfield, and G. Gordon Bell. Laity: Messrs. C. J. Tunks, N. T. Williams, C. Hudson, J. Hogben, N. C. Hewett, J. C. Dove, A. E. Young, and H. GilflUan. Archdeacon Hawkins, Archdeacon MacMurray, and Rev. E. H. Strong were elected to the General Synod. Synod resumed this afternoon, and the final session will be hedd this evening.
