INTERNATIONAL POSTAGE.
DECISIONS OF CONFERENCE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Postal Conference, held at Stockholm, adopted the Rome Convention postage rates as normal, with leave to add CO or deduct 20 per cent. These rates are now in force in New Zealand in respect of foreign countries. A general reduction is made in land and sea transit charges, but this will not affect carriage across the Pacific, which is by contract. The Dominions were granted a vote in their own right, having hitherto voted as one unit. Tlie size of postcards and sample packets has been increased. The next conference is fixed for London in 1929.
