PERSONAL.
Mrs. and Mrs. O. Mcßoy, of Feilding, are staying at Cargen. Mr. H. W. Slater, formerly of Dunedin, has taken up a position on the staff of the Napier Boys' High School. Dr. K. H. Makgill, of the Health Department, was a passenger for Wellington by the express last evening. Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Young, of Wellington, and Mr. H. Young, of Palmer-ston North, arrived by the express this morning. They are staying at the Grand Hotel. Messrs. P. Mctndoe (Sydney), J. R. Cole, H. G. Evans (Wellington), E. C. White, and C. R. Grace (Waingaro) are among the guests at the Star Hotel. This morning's arrivals at the Central Hotel include Messrs. W. McDonald, W. Rohner, of Wellington, and R. G". Webster, of Melbourne. The Rev. John Hobbs, formerly of Palmerston North, is at present conducting services at Christ Church, Wanganui, pending an appointment to fill the vacancy caused by Archdeacon Reeve's departure for England.
