BIBLE-CLASS UNION.

The annual meeting ot the Auckland Methodist Young Men's Bible-class Union was held last evening, the attendance being, large. The proposed increase in the number ot racing permit* provoked a spirited discussion. The following resolution was passpii unanimously, ami the secretary and president instructed to forward a royry to all members of Parliament whose constituencies lie within the Auckland Province:—"That this union, representing the Methodist Young Men of the Auckland district, strongly urges the members or Parliament for this province to do all in their power to defeat the proposed increase of racing permits, believing that any such increase militates against the moral, social, and economic interests of the community."
