RISE IN THE FRANC.
DUE TO TOURIST INVASION. PARIS, March 23. The director of the Bank of France declares that one cause of the improvement in thr> franc is the great influx of American and British tourists, 240,000 passports being handled of Americans alono. He aays that each spends 1000 dollars, thus 3,360,000.000 francs have been exchanged for foreign currencies.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
