POLICE ACQUITTED. DELHI, December 27. The trial of Sergeant Andrew and a number of policemen who were in charge of the van in which a number of Moplahl prisoners were asphyxiated last year, ended in the acquittal of all accused. —< (A. and N.Z. Cable.) Fifty-sis prisoners captured in the operations, against the Moplah rebels in Malabar at the end of last year died from asphyxiation on a railway journey from Tirui , to Podanur.
