GERMAN PATENTS.
WAR SALES IN AMERICA. SUGGESTION OF GRAFT. WASHINGTON, July 2. The President has ordered the alien enemy property custodian to reclaim all German trademarks and patents which the former custodian, Mr. Garvin, during Mr. Wilson's Administration, granted to the Chemical Foundation, a privatelyowned organisation of which Mr. Garvin is now the head. The President desires the Government to resume ownership of all past profits as well as the patents and trademarks themselves. Senators allege that these valuable rights, which are valued at 20.000,000 dollars, were sold for 250,000 dollars.—(A. and N.Z.)
