The beef was of excellent quality, the top price, £S, being realised by Messrs. Barners Bros., of Tahuna. another line at £7 14/ from Mr. H. M. Clothier. There was a large supply of beef and very good competition. Other prices for beef ranged from £3 15/ upwards. Fat cows £5. lighter £1 11/ to £1 1/.
