FIRE ROUTED BY CIDER.
SALVING A VIIXAGE. LO>TDON, September 7. The Paris correspondent of the "Daily Express" reports that a fire near Lorient, in Brittany, had destroyed eight farmhouses when the supply of water gave out. The villagers saved the rest of the village by pouring stocks of cider :>n the llames.—'(A. and X.Z. Cable.)
