TRANSCONTINENTAL LINE.
TWO DAYS CUT OtTT. MELBOUIt:srE, September 7. Arrangements have been made between the Federal Government and the Western Australian railway authorities for an alteration of the time-table of the transcontinental railway, whereby the time for the conveyance of overseas mails from FTemantle to the eastern States will be reduced by two days. —(A. and X.Z.)
