JUVENILE IMMORALITY.
« A shocking story of juvenile depravity was told to Mr. Poynton, S.>L, at the Children's Court to-day, -wien two hoys from Kohimarama, aged 11 and 13 rears, were charged with assault, arising out of immoral behaviour with two young girls. Mr. Singer ( for the accused boys) said it had been admitted by aJI concerned thai the suggestions for ' the salacious conduct complained of ha<; come from Hie trirlF but the whole thin;; ably' originated through the folfr chief actors having been thrown into too close proximity by all living together with their parents in a very°smal! house. Chief-Detective McMahon applied to have tlie boys placed under proper control, as it was said tho father, a (ferinan, was addicted to drink and bad language, but the magistrate expressed himself as against taking the children away from their parents, who wero evidently anxious to look after tirem. lie therefore adjourned the case for six months after extracting a proTnieo of future good behaviour from the lode, and warning the father that he, too, uraet behave himself as regards drink and language or else 'his boys -would be placed under other control.
