FRANCO-BELGIAN TREATY.
CO-ORDINATED DEFENCE. ATTACK FROM THE EAST. LONDON, September 2. The military convention between France and Belgium has been signed. It provides for co-ordinated defence against attacks from the East, assigning a definite role to Antwerp and laying down the direction of retreat for the Belgians in the event of the first battle not checking the invaders.— ("Times.") LINES OF CONCENTRATION. (Received 10 a.m.) PARIS, September 2. . Though the terms of the Franco-Bel-gian defensive military treaty have not been disclosed, it is understood that they provide for full mutual support against aggression.
