ROSS BEATS BEAUREPAISE. (Received 0 a.m.) ADELAIDE, this day. In the three-quarter-mile swimming championship Norman Ross beat Beaurepaire by four yards. Time, 17.20 1-5. The previous record was 17.40. Beaurepaire was below form, not having fully recovered from his recent illness. The 220vds breast-stroke championship resulted: Beck (Xew South Wales) 1, Collins (Queensland) 2, Uren (Vie- ' toria) 3. Won by a yard. Time, 3.13. (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
