An official communique, dealing with % d'Annunzio's raid on Zara, promises the fullest precautions to prevent further raids by d'Annunzio. j The Government repudiates Admiral Millo, who was previously implicitly trusted, nis support of d'Annunzio caused surprise and shock. The communique adds that it appears that the army and navy is very restless owing to the groundless rumour that Zara was to be ceded in exchange for Fiume. Leading newspapers denounce the Zara and Milan exploits.— ("Times.") D'Annunzio is making wholesale arrests of Jugoslavs as hostages for the good behaviour of the inhabitants and for d'Annunzio's personal safety.— (A. nnd N.Z. Cable.)

DISAFFECTION IN NORTH.

ANTI-MONARCHISTS ACTIVE. LONDON, November 26. There are serious revolutionary disturbances in Italy. The northern provinces are disaffected. The view of the majority of observers is that the Socialist deputies returned in the recent elections are against the Monarchy. The i Cabinet remains in constant session, and a strict censorship is maintained. The position is gra.vc, but is not regarded as ularming.— ("Times.")
