SHORTAGE OF SUPPLIES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The lack of superphosphates and the difficulty of getting supplies has caused a good deal of anxiety amongst tin farming community during the last feu montlis. The only available source oi supply at present is Australia. Unfor tunately the Australian Government fearing a shortage in the Commonwealth, absolutely prohibited export. The Prime Minister has been in con stant communication with the Common wealth Government with a view tc securing the release of at least sufficient to meet Xew Zealand's immediate needs and the effort has so far been successful in! that the Commonwealth Government has agreed to allow the export of 300( tons. Although this is not enough tc supply the demand in Xew Zealand, it will help to tide over the worst difficul ties this season.
