ELECTION OF OFFICERS. REFERENDUM RE FEDERATION. (By Telegraph.—Preas Association.) WAIHI, this day. Following is the result of the Miners' Union election, held on Saturday:— President: Mr. Frank Campbell, 160; Thomas Norcott, 93. Vice-president: Mark Ryan, 134; Thos. McConnor, 121. A. Parker was elected secretary and workmen's inspector, unopposed, vice Mr. James Judge, who had resigned. A referendum on the question of withdrawal from the Federation of Labour (the old constitution) resulted —against withdrawal 132, in favour of withdrawal 124.
