BRITISH HEALTH BILL.
CONSOLIDATED POWERS. ANTI-DISEASE CAMPAIGN. (Received i 0.50 a.m.) LONDON. February 28. The new Health Bill has b-?n read a second time. It collects the Powers relating to public health, now dispersed among many departments. Eighteen hundred local authorities will be abolished, including poor law guardians and insurance commissioners. Plans will be developed for a great campaign against disease. The bill provides liberal funds for research.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
