FATE OF THE LOST FLEET.
FRANCE'S INSISTENT CLAIM. PARIS, February 28. "Le Journal" denies the report that the German fleet will be sunk. M. Levgues, the Minister for Marine, declares that it would be inconceivable folly at a time when metal and machinery are scarce that thousands of tons should be destroyed. France will certainly claim an important part of the fleet." It is believed the matter will form a definite part of the armistice conditions. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
