We continued the advance during the night north of the Avre. We occupied Cliaulnes, Omieeourt, a mile south-east of L'haulnes, Bulatre. :! miles nortli-oaet of Roye, Roiglisc, '1 miles south-east o£ itove, and VerpUlieres, a mile further south. Wo also penetrated. Crapeaumicsnil Wood, 2 miles to the. southward, aud captured Dives, 2 miles cast of Lassigny. This morning we continued to progress to the Sommc. We. reached north, of the Avre a general line from Lieourt, <H miles east of C'haulnes, to Potte., 5 milc3«outh-»'ast, Mesnjl le Fetit, a mile- north of Ncslc, to the outskirts of Nesle. iSineo yesterday we have retaken about thirty villages and ■ advanced nearly eigrht miles at ecrtain points.— (A. and N.Z. aud Kcuter. )
