STEADY PROGRESS ON BOTH SIDES OF ROVE. (Received 9 a.m.) LONDON, August iiS. A French oommiiniqup states:—Yielding to our continued pressure the enemy to-day was compelled to increase his withdrawal on both sides of tlio Avrc front by 1_! miles. The troops overcoming all opposition, realised an advance exceeding three mile* at certain points. "We hold the general line immediately west of C'haulne?, Punchy, two miles south-east of ('haulnes, Lianeourt, three miles further south, and Verpilliors, three miles south-east of Hove. We occupy ILallu. two miles south of C'haulnee, I'Vd.naart, three mil* north-west of Liancourt, ( remi-ry. four miles west of Nesle, Oruny, four miles south-west of Nesle, ('arrapuits. two miles east of Rove, Laucouit, 21 miles south-east of Rove, and Crapeaumesnil four miles south of Rove.
