BASKETBALL
MEETING OP COMMEmSIS. A meetinn of the Auckland BasketDau Association's management committee was held In the Training College. Present: Mr H. G. Cousius, president (in chair), Mies M. Lee, Messrs. I<\ Iktiune, W. Hill. A. IS. Jaggs, and the secretary (Miss I. Andsrson). The chairman explained to the meeting that they had met to grade the teams and arrange ror the seasons play. It was decided to open the season on June S, with a knock-out tournament, and to ooinmenee championship matches on June 22, having the 15th off on account of the gala hl the Ellerslie racecourse. The following is the grading of teams:— Senior. —Kiwi, Normal Old Girls Training College A, Training College B, Kia Ora, Edendale Old Girls, Victoria College, Intermediate.— Mt. Eden Old Girls, SeOdonian, Kiwi. Edendale, Training College. y.W.C.A., Areta. Akarana. Junior.—Pitt Street, Kiwi C, Kiwi D. Kia Ora, Normal 0.G., Areta, Epsom hluia, Edendale, Victoria College, Y.W.C.A. The following is the araw for the tirst day's play, June 22:—Senior. —Kiwi v. Normal 0.G.; Traininsr College A v. Seddonian; Training College B v. Kia Ora; Victoria College v. JSdendaie. Intermediate.—Mt. Uden O.G. v. Y.W.C.A.; Areta v. Edendale: Seddonian v. Training College: Kiwi v. Akarana. '< Junior. —Pitt Street v. Areta; Kiwi C v. 'Epsom Hula; Kiwi D -r. £dendale; Kia ora T. Victoria College: Normal v. Y.W.C.A.
