CORRESPONDENCE.
A FARM WORKER'S APPEAL CASE. (To the Editor.) Sir,—Re the report in the " Star '' of .May 25. 1018. by Kergt.-Major Richardson, edited " Farm Workers Job. House Accommodation Condemned,' , 1 feel it my duty on behalf of my employer to answer the report. I must say it is far fetched. There is no doubt it is not a Crystal Palace, but it is fit for a working man. Re the eoaking-np water and ill-health of my wife, this was nearly twelve months ago. when the rain came down the wall. I told Mr. Barthow about it. and he had it altered for mc. I may say that this was the time my wife's health .vaa not too good, and that was when she felt she could sit down and cry. This was last Tune. Since then I and my wife have milked by hand over 40 cows, and have only had two milkin<*s oil. Re tlie house being marked o(T into sections, may I just give the size of one room, which is 21ft. by 12ft. I was surprised at Mr. Richardson publishing such a report. Please look out for the Health Inspector's report.—l am. etc.. C.' MASKELL. Mount Roskill Road. May -27, 1!>1S.
