A LOT OF SCHOOLING WORK. The weather was line bat rei-y cold lor training operations at EUerslle this morning, and a lot of Interesting work was witnessed. The sand aud middle grass tracks were open, a« well as the course proper, for sf-hooliny over hurdles, and the steeplechase course. Moat of the fast work was registered ou the grass, aud unless otherwise specified the tnska were done on that track. Carmen Sylva, Erinagh, and Meltino were in that order at the end of jive furlongs from a seinl-stand in 1.10. Lady Lyddite was a shade in front of Alf. lielnvul at the end of six furlougs run In 1.25. Housewife easily beat Colonel Soult over a round, which she traversed in 1.50 4-3, the Colonel taking 2.2 2-5. Fisher galloped v mile and a-haif, Uie flrst round taking 2.2. Kockfleld and 'Lord Kenilwortb were together when five furlongs were covered In 1.6 2-5. Thrace was too good for (ioldcu Petal over seveu furlongs in 1.34 Jo, th e latter taking 1.30 2-5. Captain Lock Kltiß's Park, and Try Luck Joined In. the latter pulling oit at the old water. All jumped well till the second Teiire on top of the hill, when Ilantere bumped his rider off. The wall Into the straight saw John Bunny come to grief. Ilopye winding up just in front of Coalition, with Walninl, which hit the second fence of the double hard. next. Hautere was reinounte«l and finished the course. Ilopye went exceptionally well, and pulled up apparently sound, while Coalition and Walmai both made friends.

Sir John, alone, lumped the ldg fences on the flat. He fell at the sod wall, but was afterwards remounted, anil jumped the remaining fences all ripht.
