KOHIMARAMA BEACH.

(To the EJttor.) Sir, —Xow is the time for those in authority to acquire ten or twelve feet of the private property abutting on to the Kohimarama beach. All the fences were demolished and the boat sheds damaged in the recent gale. Before replacing these no doubt the owners would be agreeable to sell come of their frontage for small compensations. At high water it is impossible to get along the beach without getting wet or passing through private property. Enough ground for a reserve or esplanade would be a great asset to Kohimarama district, and a boon to all visitors to this popular beach.—l am, etc.. PUBLIC INTEREST.
