AVONDALE ROAD BOARD.
The Avondale Rood Ronrd met last night. In the übsonce ot the chairman Mr Ilest presided. The question of the co-operation of the Avomiale Board to get an extension of the tram service was hold over for a full Board meeting.
The Minister of Agriculture wrote appointing Mr Thomas. Uie Hoard's clerk, as lo.'al Inspector of noxious weeds.
A petition was presented to the Board for signature, asking the Railway Department to facilitate the time of the three early morning and the three evening workmen's trains by cutting out the stopping at Kingsland station. This matter was referred to tin; whole Board.
It was resolved that the clerk arrange with an engineer to take levels and prepare specifications for drain through the racecourse, and have them ready for next iiu-cting. «
It was resolved that the Gas Company bo asked to give a price for the adequate lighting of the Town Hall.
