GRAMMAR SCHOOL BOARD
A' meeting of the Auckland Grammar School Hoard was held yesterday afternoon. Professor A. 1 , . W. Thomas occupied the chair. The f-.ijlowin« appointment-s were made: —Miss I). Butler, secretary to the iheadmistrosK of th<- Howe Strt-et school: MUw D. M. I-.10.1e, domestic science mistress, Howe Street school; Mrs (Jiffoni Moore, assistant teacber. Howe Street. Another appointment was made, subject to conflrrmitlon. Mr D. A. Watt, ot the boys' kcliool was granted three mouths' sick leave. The resignation of Miss Suckling, of Epsom school, was accepted with regret, and MLss Baructt's appointment was made permanent. On the recommendation of the fichools Committee, permission was granted to pupils travelling by the northern railway line to choose the most convenient school, provided the accommodation is sufficient. A motion was passed expr«u=lng sympathy witli Mr J. W. Tibbs on the death of his son.
