RAIDS AND ARTILLERY DUELS IN THE WEST.

LONDON, February 20.
General Sir Douglas Haig reports:—"We repulsed raidefe southward of Armentieres. Mutual artillery firing is in progress south-eastward of Epehy and southward of Armentieres. — (A. and 2s.Z. and Reuter.)
A French communique reports fairly groat artillery activity in the Champagne and on the Tight bank of the Meuse. From Saturday to Monday last French airmen brought down eighteen enemy mßchinps. The railway stations at Metz, Sablons, Forbach, and Bensdorf wprr bombed, and also depots at Ensiesveim,- where a big fire broke out. — (Reuter.)
